Fantastic day, river at a good height, warm overcast day , took 3 salmon in succession from the same lie, all fresh bars of
silver , all 10 lbs plus ,first time to take 3 double figure fish from same lie in 50 years fly fishing a great credit to WUF and
a big thank you ,finished off the day with another 10 lbs plus fish in the evening from a different lie .

My two brothers and myself fished for 9 hours and caught 4 trout and 3 grayling, all small fish, none taken, we don't take river fish. There were hatches of flies, including may fly throughout the day but very rarely did we see a fish rise. All fish caught on buzzers or small hackled wet flies. Very hard going. We did however enjoy our stay with Linda at the Old Vicarage, excellent breakfasts.

Conditions: water still low despite previous rain but more forecast which will be welcome, overcast with gentle downstream breeze. Mayfly hatch but no signs of fish rising. Returned 2 WBT approx. 1lb caught on Pheasant Tail Nymph.
