Much better this week no change in conditions no extra water just got back to my usual baiting strategy . All fish in excellent condition again apart from one barbel that had some damage to its tail. Had a Wye pb chub but unfortunately it was foulhooked in the pec! Usual baits & tactics and this time no canoes perfect!

A lot slower this evening with only the one barbel but a beauty nonetheless. Not really sure why whether it was down to the change in weather or a change in baiting strategy but probably just me getting my excuses in early! An enjoyable evening here as usual with a great showing from a buzzard along with an aerial display of bats as the evening drew to a close banging the line numerous times to keep you on edge!

As usual as of late another warm day but only decided to fish the evening . All fish in great condition and all well rested before returning . Disappointed to see one of the magnificent weeping willows decimated on the far bank but I’m assuming it must’ve been diseased as it certainly wasn’t just trimmed back! Usual baits & tactics. Again only one set of canoes went past which is a bonus on this shallow stretch. Hopefully get some much needed rain soon!

In the end we only fished from 3pm to 6:30pm but were happy enough with the 6 chub we had. All caught on float fished or freelined bread. Lovely stretch of river, would love to fish in better conditions (more water).

Two anglers fished from 2pm - 9pm. The river was low but not as low as we feared. Two barbel were caught early on. The chub and an eel were caught late on, but it every really came alive in the evening as we hoped. Still, a very pleasant day in a lovely spot.

First time on the fishery. A lovely run and superb barbel and chubb stretch stacks of water just needs some pegs cutting in. Can’t wait to come back when there is about a 1m rise lovely fast water with some bubble in front of the wall. Float runs brilliantly.
Took two big Chubb 4/5lb on the feeder late on to cheese and garlic soft hooker and 1 on pepperami

Tough going for barbel catches with river levels so low. However managed to pluck out an 8lb beauty, a few healthy sized chub to 5lb and 2 bream of 3 to 4lb each. The beat, like most, is hard to fish with considerable vegetation overgrowth. 99% of the bank is pretty much unavailable. Still worth the effort though if you’re fit and intrepid.

River obv still very low at the moment but at least the brown tinge from previously had disappeared. In the end had two barbel in the last hour and a lost one cut off immediately on the numerous rocks & boulders. Always a fantastic place to fish here and again another bonus of only one group of canoes came through. The Wye always reminds me of a slightly larger version of Teme fishing from many yrs ago
