Cracking stretch of river, albeit a good trek from the parking area. Fishing was slow to begin with, not surprising given the bright, sunny conditions. We tried a variety of swims along the beat, mostly in the middle / upper reaches. I took all 4 barbel from one swim, the 5th that I tried, and also lost 2 more from the same peg. My colleague lost 1 barbel but otherwise no action from the other swims fished. The successful swim had a bit more depth than the others and didn't have so much far bank activity (the National Trust property on the far bank was very busy).

Arrived on a very wet Friday morning, had a good walk before settling into a swim, I had intended to rotate between 3 or 4 spots but with the slippery banks decided to stay in one. Finished with 6 barbel on a mixture of pellet and 3 chub also on pellet. All barbel between 5-7lb. will return for another crack at this venue hopefully on a dry day.

Afternoon into evening fishing session - 3.00 pm -8.30 pm. Usual spot didn't produce much, so had to try several swims. Water quite stained, so hard to see weedbeds and features. CT 4 barbel to 9lb and 5 chub. LR 2 barbel and 1 chub. Unusually fishing didn't switch as it got dark.

Lovely section of the Wye. River had dropped a lot from the previous week so I expected things to be a little slow. I fished 3 swims from 1:30 to 9:00 p.m. on the 3rd swim around 5 p.m. I had my first bite, a lovely long lean chub of around 3lb then followed by 2 more & 3 barbel around 6lb mark. If you can make use of the farmers taxi service I would strongly recommend it as it's a bit of a walk to the river. He was spot on with his service & a nice bloke too. Really nice stretch definitely would go back.

Struggled to get a bite rolling meat in a number of swims. My fishing partner caught 3 chub trotting pellets. We eventually doubled up in a swim feeder fishing and caught 6 barbel between us and lost one. A few canoes came down but wasn't a problem.

Didn't fish that long on this day as the wheel bearings on our vehicle had collapsed as we got to the farm, so spent most of our time trying to sort that out. Farmer dropped us off down at the swim for a fiver. I would recommend this as its quite a walk to the swims with your gear. You get plenty of canoeists on the Wye, some are respectful and understand the river to avoid you and your line, some are complete novices and are a nuisance. Biggest fish we had over the weekend was a 8lb 5oz barbel. Will be back again!

Had a fantastic time on here, river was perfect (still a little low though) but has some colour in it which helped. All fish were caught throughout the the day. Tried fishing several pegs but all fish were caught in 2 pegs only so they must of been holed up in these swims, will be back again next month hopefully.

Water very low and clear, but during the day it did rise 4". Fished the middle of the beat, just to the right of the gravel bank. Second rod fished the off the gravel bank but nothing caught all day. The Chub were all caught on pellets, all over 3lb the biggest was 4lb 7oz. My PB, lost 1 big barbel, but landed a 7lb 9oz late on. Long walk if you don't use the farmers taxi, well worth the fiver each way. Good stretch of the Wye, well looked after and quite a few pegs to choose from.
