Lovely calm day with blue skies and sunshine throughout the day
Water level was well above usual and pretty cold too
Spent the day scouring the pool with binoculars for any sign of carp movement and there wasn't many spotted
The recent rain seemed to have really clouded the lake with silt and there was zero visibility and not a bite for the whole day
All fish landed came in the last hour before dark,all from margins on super smelly homemade boilies,16lb 3oz , 23lb 8oz and 12lb 6oz
Will be back in the spring !

mild and overcast, 2 common carp, 14.8.and 11.4 mint condition, 1 bream about 4lb.

Just a half day session on the pool today it was overcast with a few sunny spells and a little chilly but no breeze and it was flat calm across the whole lake
Not many carp bubbling as they usually are but casted to a few that were spotted and hooked into one that screamed off 60 yards across the lake and managed to slip the hook !
Soon after hooked another and got it in the net after a terrific hard fight,a fin perfect common carp weighing 12 pounds it looked stunning in the autumn sunshine.
Hopefully squeeze in a full day session before close of this year
If not roll on April ....Will be back!

A dry overcast day. Did not see any carp or signs of carp at all. I caught 6 small Roach all on bread or maggot. Lovely setting.

Just 1 fish each a bream of 5 pounds
And a carp of 9lbs both prestine condition
Always a pleasure to fish here

Beautiful lake with great wildlife including kingfishers.

Didn't catch much apart from a couple of roach, and only saw 2 carp moving all day. Weather was calm with periods of light rain. Float fished and ledgered sweetcorn.

Fished by the old oak. Had 2 commons from the shallow bay reeds both 12 pounders. And a bream 4lbs from open water
Lovely peaceful day watching the kites,kingfishers and buzzards but fishing was pretty slow going no bites until late afternoon.....

3 common carp caught weighing in at 16lb 4oz,14lb 9oz and 17lb 2oz . The larger of the 3 had another anglers hook attached...a size 6 on a nylon trace which could only have been around a 7lb breaking strain !
I would really suggest if your targeting the carp use a minimum 12lb hook link,these carp really aren't shy to end tackle and many have never been hooked before
They are hard fighters and really tear off,7lb hooklink ain't gonna stop 'em !
