We had been hoping to float / surface fish all day in glorious sunshine but were instead faced with some of the first serious rain for months and had to ledger instead in order to stay under our umbrellas. We had a 10 pound ish carp each on Ellips Pellets from the far end of the pool before packing away at 5 ish. Then, however, the clouds parted and the baking sun came streaming through so I had to stay a bit longer and get the Bakers Meaty Meals dog biscuits out. The carp were going mad for them and it wasn't long before I'd landed a 8 ish pounder and an unexpected 1 pound ish roach and could leave contented. A lovely spot for a day's fishing with easy access and comfortable banks so we'll definitely be back, hopefully in full sunshine next time.

A great days fishing today. Weather was thankfully cooler than recent weeks. Only one 9lb carp caught today as i spent most of the day helping land my girlfriends numerous carp. Happy days. Thanks WUF.

Made an early start at the pool today catching 7 fish in a couple of hours. A couple of Bream and 5 Carp in the 8lbs to 16lbs range. It warmed up nicely into the high 20's with the water temp 22°. No more action during the afternoon so I found a nice shaded spot under the Oak tree and enjoyed the wildlife of the lake. Swallows, Buzzards, Red Kites and Bats to name a few and a pair of Kingfishers landing together on my rod tip and seemingly oblivious to my presence.
Very enjoyable days fishing. I will be back
