My second visit to this beat and had a go but unsuccessful. Access to water is difficult as you have to battle through lots greenery. Tried straight nymphing on the deeper pools but no luck. Not so much rain and there was lots of rises on the flats near the tree line. Again a better fisher would have caught as casting was difficult.

Cracking fishing, if I had worked my time better I would have had way more. Came off the beat early due to a thunderstorm. Would recommend to anyone.

Fish were willing to take a elk hair emerger in the faster water at the neck of pools. Wading was predictably awful given the low water and slippery rocks.

4 rods fishing. Warm and bright day. Few fish rising during morning and afternoon. Most fish caught on sedge and Griffiths Gnat early evening. Water temp and river level good.

Great day on the river with my son. We didn’t get onto the water until midday, so it was a slow start with very little surface activity. We fished dry-dropper setups throughout the early part of the day, but none of us had any takers. Around 4:00 pm, the insect hatches became much more prolific, and the river really started to come alive. From then on, we both connected with some good fish on the dry fly . A special thanks once again to the owners, who stopped by to see how we were getting on and kindly shared some local knowledge and advice on where the evening fishing was likely to be at its best. Their guidance was much appreciated and certainly helped make the day even more enjoyable.
