No Fish caught on this trip

Great beat,had 5 small trout off the top all with small green Olive! 1 Grayling on a small tungsten bug!
People camping on the lower end of the beat,three rods already fishing!!?

Fished the day mostly for salmon with no fish we did fish for trout and grayling 3 fish taken on the french leader and all the rest on drys olive patterns

7lbs cock fish from penalow pool 4th cast on a Willie gun also 2 trout one around 4lbs, the river was running high and clear

River high though clear, making wading difficult in places. Saw only one fish rise. Caught one grayling, about 1lb and one trout, 6oz, on a tungsten nymph fishing New Zealand style. Not much reward for a lot of effort!

I fished the morning salmon fishing with no luck. Around 12 i fished the french leader only catching one trout and losing one, I went to the very bottom of the beat to find rising fish my first fish on the dry fly was a 21"/22" Brown followed by 4 grayling, i moved up to Harry's pocket to find a trout rising just off the bank a short flick in he came and nailed my f fly, I moved to the flats there was grayling rising a little way up i fished in one spot catching fish after fish on the dry fly 14 fish in total, I lost over 10 fish that I hooked and came off in seconds, the water was very cold

JH & AB fished the Craig Llyn beat for, maybe , some end of season brown trout, dry fly being the preferred choice, we were left wanting. A Grayling succumbed to what is regarded as a trout fly changed our pursuit of the spotty ones and seven ladies fell to the Grayling Steel Blue in the latter part of the afternoon. AB netted the pick of the bunch with a 19/20" fish. Hmmph !

Not to many hatches coming off the wind and rain did make conditions tricky, river height was a good level we did pick some rising fish with olives fish also taken on the french leader in the tail of the pools best 2 grayling close to 2lbs

Small grayling rising for most of the day in certain pools but managed to avoid them and found a fair few fish to 15", mainly on nymphs but rising a few to the dry as the light began to go. Nearly 20 sizeable fish in the end to hand; would have been more than twice this number had they all stuck
