Had one nice barbel 2 small chub and an eel hard going but very nice place

Very enjoyable day , some good chubband one of the barbel was a lump . Schoolboy error no scales . Looked every bit 10+ fantastic battle .

Lovely stretch of river - no fish unfortunately (1 barbel lost at the net) but nevertheless a great place to spend a days fishing.

Arrived at the beat and drove through the field looking at the river and it looked high and fast, not confident. Began walking into the woods section and the first swim had a good looking back eddie and a double swim to fish. 1 barbel(7lb 2oz) in the morning with one small chub (~1.5lb) quickly afterwards. After a break and re-baiting spots for lunch had 3 more barbel in the afternoon (5lb 11oz, 7lb 6oz and 6lb 9oz) with the last one arriving as we were begining to pack up at 7pm. Great day.

Fished between 1pm-5.30pm. 10 barbel, 4 chub, 2 eels. Lovely stretch with plenty of choice of swims.
