Chucked the kitchen sink at it,bait wise and different areas but to no avail,no fish not even a chub although had two tiny minnows stuck in the feeder mesh! hey but that’s fishing, other than that a nice looked forward to day out on the Wye ready to return again soon

Once again my long planned day's fishing spoiled by people wading then swimming on the opposite bank. As if that wasn't enough they swam across the river through the bottom end of my swim to hide in the bushes and get up to what can only be described as carnal activities. I will not return to Home fishery in the future as the risk of swimmers / canoeists disrespecting my use of the river is to great. Fishing wise I lost count of the sub 1lb Barbel and Chub I caught on pellet and meat. I did manage one 4lb Chub on float fished bread before my swim was disturbed and one 5lb Barbel on pellet at twilight.

The 8 and half pound barbel was caught in a open cage feeder with a size 10 hook with a big chunk of curry powdered luncheon meat. The chub we had caught up to 5lb on all methods, float had caught the majority of the chub
