Nice day beautiful beat. No fish.

Fine warm weather. Steady hatch of fly for most of the day. Mainly olives. Some march brown and grannom. Water low and little surface movement from trout. A few very small fish taken on wet fly. snipe/purple, usk nailer.

6 Trout

Beautiful sunny day with light wind. Though little sign of fish activity. Lovely looking beat but again access proved extremely difficult and dangerous for much of it.
High bank with very steep incline means there are only a few places to enter the water for wading safely there. So no fishing attempted on the day due to risks.

VERY hot day - and VERY low river. needless to say no fish although there were some large fish idling around mid-beat before the river turns. Some Otters seen also.

Bright blue sky and very sunny, water low and clear. Some flurries of LDO but no March browns today. Some rising fish but rises were sporadic and artificials generally ignored. 2 trout, the biggest a pound and a quarter.

2 Trout

Low water, no fly activity, no fish seen, but otter fishing upstream. Nice day out.

Beautiful day and a pleasure to be on the bank. However, I'm not sure how good it was for insect hatches. Very few fish seen rising and those that did were once'ers. Tried many types of runs with dries and nymphs - no joy.

Rather a slow bright day with a feeling of high summer. An 8 and a 9inch trout on a small pheasant tail nymph. Larger fish easily spooked in the clear water.

2 Trout

Blustery day with chilly 25-30 mph upstream wind. Sparse hatch. Deeper pools hard to reach even with tip toe wading. Fish very healthy and gave a good account!

4 Trout

River low and clear. Bright sunshine after early rain, and a strong, cold downstream wind. Modest hatch of LDOs and one or two March browns which bought a few fish up to rise sporadically. They seem to be getting fussier, or perhaps the wind made presentation tricky. 4 good fish caught, but many more refused or slashed at the fly but not hooked.
