despite the warm day no flies around. River level has dropped down quite a lot during the week. fishes caught nymphing in the deepest pools

Fished from 10-3, nothing doing until 1.30 when a sparse and varied hatch brought a few fish to the surface. Two small trout 8” ish ..Greenwells and Para Adams size 16. Shared the fishing with a small Otter which was nice.

1 decent grayling and a pretty healthy BT. Despite there were not much flies around, both fishes have been taken on a large Brown March

No signs of fish whatsoever.

A lovely day for a walk with a rod. The grayling were no doubt shoaled up in the bottoms of pools. I didn't disturb them.

River running high and very coloured. No fish taken

Couldn’t make it happen today. No rising fish and no joy subsurface. Both fish 13” to #16 Para Adams
at the start of the day. Too bad, river conditions ideal except for catching leaves every other cast!
