A lovely day for a walk with a rod. The grayling were no doubt shoaled up in the bottoms of pools. I didn't disturb them.

Couldn’t make it happen today. No rising fish and no joy subsurface. Both fish 13” to #16 Para Adams
at the start of the day. Too bad, river conditions ideal except for catching leaves every other cast!

2 good size grayling to a GRHE, no sign of rises or fly life today but the water was still coming through very fast, but clear. Sadly no fishing possible in the Mudpool due to the presence of another angler - a big dog otter who I very happily watched for half an hour trying in all the places I would try, also without success. A perfect Autumn day's fishing.
