Due to being on a family holiday I only managed a couple of hours in the morning and a hour or so in the evening ... a very long beat with plenty of good looking areas to fish ... the directions and vehicle access were perfect .. definitely a beat that I will return to when I have more time.

Low slow river, 2 Dace, 2 bleak on float. Was feeder fishing for most part. Only managed to get access to one swim as most too busy (tourists) or not accessible as overgrown or to steep.

Hopeless fishing ....just eels, eels and more of the blasted things. Water quality poor due to hot conditions.

Beautiful beat. Indeed many walkers but still possible to come early for avoiding them. No luck . I tried with different flies and depth .

Good water no salmon seen . Not easy to get in pools no ladders I must be going soft !!!

Lovely day with clear water. No salmon, but caught two chub in the 4-5lb weight class .

A great day on the Wye at Lower Symonds Yat. The river is in fine fettle with several fish seen, though none caught. Another angler landed a salmon in Oak Tree Crib pool just after I had fished it.
