The stile for access above bridge is completed rotten and damaged and makes access very very difficult of not impossible. A number of the stiles are rotten and in very bad condition. Water was a little low. A steady hatch of natural flies were allowed to float downstream without any fish bothering them. I saw 2 rises all day and caught on nymphs at depth. This beat needs the stiles repairing and some of the barbed wire removing from around the stiles. It’s a wader danger spot !!

Great spot to fish unfortunately got rained off. Lots of small trout rising in the corners just before the rain. Fished with nymphs and a couple of dries but no takes. Beautiful spot to fish but can be difficult in tight parts with the trees and brush.

River running beautiful and clear with pleanty fish rising mid afternoon. The only negative to be had was finding someone's fishing tackle wrapped around a tree branch with sadly a dead duck on the other end with a spinning lure hooked in its leg.... we need to take more responsibility for our rivers and wildlife so please clean up after yourselves!!

River was pushing through, with good visibility. Beautiful day to be back in the valley, after my last visit 18 months ago.
No fly life all day, and hence no fish seen. Fished the duo most of the day, and managed to winkle out a small grayling on a ptn. Just couldn't find the fish. A couple of the styles are showing there age, the second one from the top, right side,is rotted through on one upright. Nearly took a header into the brambles. The river is in fine fettle, but looks like it will break through to the road soon. (See photo, road is behind hedge on right.)
Fishing Passport Note : EA and Highways have been aware of the problem on this bend of the river for many years.
