River low and clear, fish are in the deeper water.

4 Barbel, 4 Chub

Moved downstream from the woods and had a bit better success than the previous day. Started with a snapped hook (First time ever) to a powerful barbel that was on for 20-30 seconds at least then picked up 3 chub and a foul hooked minnow. All the chub fell to spicy luncheon meat and were 3 1/4, 4 and 5lb 1oz- a very long lean fish that fell towards the end of the afternoon. Constantly distracted by a multitude of kingfishers opposite, missed a few good bites as a result.
Not as prolific as usual but enough to keep things interesting and always a beautiful spot to while away a day.

river in good nick and weather fairly warm/sunny with a few showers. fish not obliging though - just 2 chub up to 1.25 lb

lovely day on the river which looked good. even the weather not too bad. tried most areas but nothing seen and nothing caught.

Very slow afternoon on the Lucky Stones swim. Few bites early on but died a death. One single 3lb chub and some lost tackle as usual to the rocks.

No barbel today, fish activity seemed very quiet. 6 chub up to 4lb.

A bright afternoon and sunny evening with the river quite low and at a steady height. Fishing with feeder and pellet or meat. Hooked and lost a barbel around 16.30 (hook pull) with a second bite an hour later resulting in a barbel of around 6lbs. The chub was small.
