Very pleasant couple of hours on the bank 100m below the wood accompanied by the Memsahib which is a rarity. Chub between the lines of weed and taken on spam & floated bread crust. Two went straight for the weeds but were. extricated with full use of the waders. All very strong ,healthy looking fish. A pint & G&T in the garden of the Green Man afterwards rounded off the afternoon where I was able to explain the finer details of carp fishing & quarry size to my better half; She was either deeply enthralled or texting someone under the table...I don't know which?

First time I'v seen duckweed in the margins but despite the low water level it was a pleasant day with the fish coming steadily throughout. Pellet meat and bread all took fish. The rain started at 4pm. I stuck it out for another 2 hours and headed home. The other was a decent eel of about 2lb.

River level still painfully low and bright sunshine, with a severe thunderstorm just as we arrived making some of the wood section unsafe to fish. Extremely difficult conditions!! Fished in the woods near the faster water where we could get access. All fish were caught on the peg near the nearside snag where a small fallen tree has amassed weed and debris down the inside. Caught most of the chub on floating bread. A couple caught on freelined meat / ledgered pellet. Caught an 8lb barbel on ledgered double pellet late on.

1st time ever on the Wye, tried freelining meat to explore all the river. Not a lot of flow and lost as many I caught, guessing barbless hooks didn't hold when striking through the meat. Still not a bad day all things considered.
The other was an eel

As on Saturday on Dean and Chapter I opted to fish for Chub again with Bread and Corn. There is a good head of Chub on this beat and the wood holds more than most.In total I had 17 and lost 3 more, all were between 3 and a little over 4lb and in good condition.15 were caught on floating Bread in the shallow water and it was brilliant sport,if you have never fished like this you should give it a try, there is more to the Wye than waiting for a Barbel to pull your rod in.A Chub in shallow weedy water with give you a battle to make your heart race a bit!.The other 2 fish were caught on corn in deeper water,a very enjoyable days fishing.

River running low due recent dry conditions. However, when we turned up we had a torrential down pour that set the tone for the whole day. At the end of the day some of the steep banks were getting slippery.
Enjoyed a great day as always on the Wye. Had 2 barbel 8:02 and 4:08 and a chub of around 4lb. All on feeder tactics
