A hard frost the night before followed by a cold, bright and sunny day.
Fished pellets for the entire day however did not get a single bite.

This return is for 3 anglers not 1 as stated. (actually 4 booked but only 3 fished)
A stinking hot day and low water made it a challenge. All the barbel came in the last couple of hours.

10 Barbel, 6 Chub

No barbel due to temperature change I think. but the chub came along in the last hour of light nice beat will be back in the summer months.

More difficult today than yesterday, wind and rain then blinding sunlight but managed 4 to 6lb 8oz after sunset all within 30 mins! At the 1st set of wooden steps on the right.

4 Barbel

All fish caught within 100 yards of each other at the start the 2nd field on the right.
Best went 8lb 7oz -Pellet feeder.

7 Barbel

Suprisingly caught well on a bright warm sunny day. River recorded at 550mm high (at Ross-on-Wye) look perfect after the recent flood levels. Barbel to circa 8lb, chub to circa 4.5lb. Lost a considerable barbel that initially started off by trying to take my rod off the rest.
Fished 2 x 10mm pellets behind a hemp / pellet / groundbait feeder and caught steadily throughout the day.
It's hard packing up to go home on good days like these. Ah well, here's to next year's season (last trip for this year, for me to the Wye).
A beautiful part of the country, and very peaceful.
