Tried every bait under the sun, worms, boilies, pellet, corn, bread, cheese, paste... Just wasn't happening. Limited flow. Turned to trotting a stick float and took a couple of 8oz chub on hookable pellet . Weedy and generally very difficult.

Great first day on the Wye this report is for 3 Anglers spread fom the Church field downstream . Fish in a feeding mode. River dropping after a recent small rise. Corn and pellet the successful methods. Major drama as my sons rod was violentley pulled in the river by a savage bite! A bit of skillful casting with his spare rod resulted in him being reunited with his Greys Rod! Best catch of the day.

River up and lots of weed coming down river following rain, static bait almost impossible with debris and boats - rolling meat took the fish.

Started fishing about 2pm , good to see the river back to its normal level , flowing through nicely , perfect conditions for the day. Had 2 chub with first 2 casts then it went quiet , Moved downstream about 7pm and finally got into some barbel , Very busy with canoes today and lots of weed rushing through but still a good days fishing
