Visiting the area and keen to fish on Berwyn, as looked a great venue. Unfortunately, key holder away and had to pick up key from the neighbour - who gave us the wrong key. Wasted trip and a shame as couldn’t access the lake. Most waters/clubs use a padlock with a combination (easy to change combination regularly) so the association should think about removing the need to have to go and pick up a physical key in person (and make access easier by just communicating the code).

Headed up to the Teifi pools as a result and had a look at each of them - not much moving until the last hour before dark but very scenic and a beautiful setting. Hard to find fish but is probably the magic of the place as remote fishing like this is all about the adventure…….and am sure when you find the fish sport is fantastic.

Unfortunately I had difficulty getting access so couldn’t fish. I picked up the key but the lock on the gate defeated me! Lovely view from Cwm Berwyn picnic spot, though.

both on a sze 12 bibio. very poor visability due mist and clouds but what a great lynn.

Time spent at egnant and berwyn. Very few fish seen today.

First time fishing here, such a wild remote place. Between showers fish were rising, all four taken off top on Bibio hopper. Tricky getting around in places, boggy disco grass but well worth it.

Eventually got on the right track and walked the last 500 metres as the gate was locked and the access telephone number was on voicemail. Would it be possible to provide a 1:50,000 OS Map grid reference for this gate?
First visit to this enchanting lake. Weather was cold but the rain kept away. Both of us are the wrong side of 70 and are very careful about wading nowadays. As far as we could see there is shallow water at the edge an with some drop off thereafter. Walking around the lake is challenging but possible. We wondered if there are other tracks that take you to fishable areas.
We suspect best fished by boat - or float tube, if permitted.

A wonderful afternoon fishing one of my favourite upland llyns. Although it was very bright with little wind, fish were still rising quite frequently and willing to take my team of dries. Fantastic sport, Berwyn trout are of a good stamp, hard fighting and beautifully marked.

Lake was perfect condition for fishing. 5 wild brownies caught on Diawl Bach with biggest about 1lb.
