Days like today remind me why I'm a fair weather angler, it's not so frustrating to blank when it's at least a nice day.

1st trip to this section,spent more time looking than fishing . River looked in good condition carry extra water and a tinge of colour. No fish caught few areas noted to try in future visits.

Great day but very windy water starting to loose colour but now rising again .

river very high and colored, return visit after wash off last visit, nothing caught all day, only just about fishable really.
but end of year so had to take wash off day.

Very difficult conditions, river was very high and a lot of walking to find fishable swims, in the end 1 of us fished beat 4 and 1 in beat 5/6, it was a glorious day and the river was dropping slowly, we managed 1 bite each 2 chub caught around 4lb and 2lb, seen an otter, red kites and some very friendly cows, very enjoyable day apart from only 2 bites all day, alot of leaves debris as well, but you expect that this time of year. booked on for 2 days but we were unable to fish the 1st day after walking all the beats.
