3 hours dead baiting and lures in slacks
River still in fast flow and very coloured

Hard going but had a few fish on the maggot feeder long hooking
Biggest chub 5lb 8 couple barbel up to around 6lb.

Lovely beat in a special part of the world

clear water, bright day fished beat 2 and the long walk down to beat 4...hard work. not the best stretch when waters up - "leaves on the line" meant the feeeder was never in for too long so i guess easier to spook the fish.. and there's not a heap of swims to rotate through. Still a lovely quiet day on the river

Tough fishing on beats 4 and 5. Chub like the rocks! Lovely autumnal day in the sunshine

Beautiful day on the river but only one barbel mid afternoon. Chub right in margins. River dropping all day.
Good exercise for all of us as it's amazing the amount of gear us coarse anglers need to lug around.
Thanks to all once again ; We are lucky people to have such access.
