First time on the beautiful Whitney Court stretch with such varied water, so spent as much time on foot as with rod and line . Once fishing, first of pre-baited swims produced a chub after 20 minutes on two 10mm spicy shrimp boilies, this initial success and overcast skies suggesting more to come. But this is the enigmatic Wye and fishing, if predictable, as we know is not fishing. So I will definitely be back, if only for an alfresco picnic at those handily placed bench tables beside the Stable Block, looking over the river and dreaming of Barbus maximus!

River was up a foot or so and in lovely condition, dropping slowly throughout the day. Fished little 9mm boilies to groundbait feeder and caught from three different swims.

We love this fishery. Total peace and lovely countryside. The fishing was very hard on a rapidly rising river and we struggled but we will return. Many thanks

Second day on the same stretch, much tougher today, bright sunshine and the fish were few and far between, still a beautiful stretch of river, well managed, and plenty of swims to choose from, all in all an excellent weekend!
