Was planning on fishing the upper section but couldn't get there because of a major shoot and the track down was blocked by the cars of those on the shoot. Would be nice to be warned about these things. Fished a couple of accessible swims but wouldn't like trying to access them if it had been raining.

Most of the chub came on bread with just one on boilie and one on pellet. Not a lot of choice of swims, especially if there were 4 booked on and there are anglers fishing the opposite bank. Fished 4 swims on the upper section and 2 on the lower.

Very slow day. Two of us struggled for bites using methods that have been successful in the past. One chub on pellet. Plently of bird life and one otter.

A bit of a slow day today, which livened up when a humongous Pike attacked one of the Barbel that my mate was reeling in ? Glad to say that despite a couple of gashes the Barbel swam off.

River back to good flow following Storm Ami. Clarity returning, water temperature had taken a hit and had dropped over the last couple of days. We have fished this beat before and had some good catch returns, however this visit fishing was slow even though 4 Barbel were tempted to the net. Road noise from the A40 was ever present and more than expected following the last visit, but did not detract from the fishing.
