Interesting, decent stretch, could be great with a bit more work. Mixed reports previously and I blanked here in November a few years ago, so glad to get a few decent fish this time. For the price, I probably won’t fish here again but glad I tried it and both times I have been the only one on the stretch, which is nice, so we’ll see.

Fished from 6.30 to 14.00. 2 good barbel - one just on 8 lbs and one around 5 lbs. Also lost 2 good fish. I started fishing in the 2nd swim of the upper section - there is a nasty submerged branch just downstream extending quite a way out - just passing this on for information. I didn't find any chub although you could see plenty in the shallow fast water on the lower section

walked entire length of upper court hill fishery only found 1 swim even possible to fish as bank completely over grown so both of us in 1 swim whole swim and surrounding trees covered in snapped off hook lengths when i did get to cast got caught up on line in the water then the storm hit and with all the fork lightning we gave up after an hour. what a complete waste of 50 quid. I have since found out we could have fished the lower court section which I am told has better and more accessable swims however would want to see these before spending any more money.

Fished morning and evening! River up a few inches but still crystal clear! Feeder fishing caught me nothing but weed!
Rolled meat. In the evening for a 4lb chub! Hard going!
