No Salmon caught today. A nice Chub of about 5lbs from the gutters at the Home Catch on a Black Doctor. Fish were entering and leaving the Home Catch. River had some colour

Fabulous few hours on some exceptional fly water. A reel turning pull in the Chapel Catch and a solid take in the Orchard both came to nothing. Next time maybe. Levels great at 1'6" carrying a little colour but vis good enough!! Great access points and wonderful fly fishing. Met another rod who had lost 2 Salmon earlier in the day.

Torrential rain in the late morning. River coloured up mid afternoon. Nice height however and we lived in hope but sadly no salmon seen or felt.

1 x coloured cock fish, 32 inches, on size 8 Usk Grub from Dolmeudwy Pool. Thanks to Charles Tweedie of the syndicate, who was such a gentleman as to insist that I fish the pool down first. The Llanstephan gauge is on the blink today, but I guess it was about 1ft 2ins with a bit of colour, 0.97 on the NRW gauge.
