lovely stretch of river in a lovely setting. The levels still seemed pretty low but the fish were still moving about. Got caught by heavy rain for two hours or so with thunder so packed the rod away and found sanctuary.. Once the storm passed there was a good sized hatch and the fish were taking so cast a size 16 iron blue dun to match what i was seeing which landed me two brownies of around 11inches... Then it went quiet again.
I will note due to unfavorable conditions (low, warmer water than what would be normal) for the fish i used a 5wt rod with a stronger than needed leader just to land the fish quicker, try to reduce stressing them further then they are already in their environment. Hence no pictures.

Both on dries between 1100 to 1330. Tried again from 1700 to 2000 but wind increased so little fly life about and fish easily spooked. However an enjoyable day.

Good morning activity with some pale wateries hatching, but fish taking the nymph. Hoped for a Mayfly hatch later but weather turned and I only saw half a dozen. Great beat as always.

Seen lots of fish and fly life. Fish were very spooky, even the gentlest wading and delicate cast sent them scurrying for cover.

Slow start, but for reason the fast shallow runs we’re producing good fish.
Lower beat full of children in inflatables, aprox 12 with a few adults that walked up from aberbran campsite, totally wiped out the dry fly flats lower down, but very few rising, only 2 seen ,hooked and lost on emerger, all Fish caught on 3.5 mm copper hare ear tungsten bead.strange day good pools very quite.
The bridge pool had swimmers in by penpont house,so day cut short and went home at 3 pm.
