Only able to fish for a very short time - glorious day, river low, a few yellow duns and mayflies coming off, very few trout showing.

Water level was low and very few fish rising, no interest on the dry fly at all, fish were caught on Holographic Diawl Bach and GHHE, but sill a lovely day.

River running low and clear no fish showing, walked down to Bridge pool bigger fish showing under tree branches on far bank, impossible to cast too. Picked up a few smaller fish from the pool, missed one really big fish among the branches of the tree that has fallen across the pool. Went back later in the day to try again, rose him second cast, pricked him, lost him, nearly cried, packed up and went home! All fish taken on olive cdc dun, happy with number of fish caught but biggest was only about seven inches.

A nice beat with easy access and wading. I struggled today, catching just two small fish on weighted GRHEs. A steady trickle of March Browns enticed a few fish to feed, especially some nice looking fish by High Bank but I couldn't tempt them.

Strted 8am. Lots of fly hatches, fished from lowest section up to Penpont House. Fish were scarce, not many seen. Tied nymph and dry. Had a 22.5cm trout at 4pm. Hard but pleasant day on the river.

We only fished the river from late afternoon as we travelled up from Kent in the morning. The river was running fairly high and coloured but was clearing as we fished into the evening. There were a few trout rising to the hatches later in the day, but none could be tempted by our flies.

River low and clear. Best fish was between 1.5 and 2lb most fish taken upstream nymphing, more surface activity after it started raining and did it rain, absolutely soaked by the time I packed in. All fish in lovely condition and were returned. Best of the three days fishing.

Arriving in the morning, the weather was great and the odd fish was rising. Fishing through a few of the pools I took a few nice Brownies on an olive dry fly imitation.
And the odd fish on the nymph.

After stopping for a bite to eat. The heavens opened up and after getting soaked, So I decided to call it a day.

As always a great day out spent on the water.

A mild and sunny day. Fished all afternoon going through the fly box with drys and nymphs but with only 2 takes to small black gnats. A stark contrast to Friday's fishing in Abergavenny on a wild blowy day when the fish were savagely taking mayflys and large olives.
