Perfect day, sunny amd warm. A few fish rising above bridge and a small hatch of iron blues and the odd olive. But no takes. Walked lower section as far as the bridge. Nothing rising at all. Rocks are getting slippery with lack of water. A pleasant but fishless day by the river amid beautiful scenery.

No fish caught between us. Missed two takes early on while it was still misty but the sun came out and the trout went and hid. Steady hatch of olives from late morning to early afternoon.

Lost one decent fish in some fast water near the top of the beat, apart from this I saw one fish rise all day. Whenever the breeze got up there was a real cold edge to it and so it wasn't surprising that the fishing was so hard.

First off, this a is beautiful spot. Caught 6 trout and lost about the same. First three liked the look of my adams when I first arrived (about 12 or so). Then went exploring down river and found three more on PTN's. The wind hindered my already bad casting all day then turned wet for the last few hours. Great variety of water. Well worth a visit, although like the booklet says its rocky and deep in spots so usual river rules apply.

Two lovely 3/4 pound brownies caught and returned safely. Both caught on bead head nymphs. Beautiful beat. No fish rising and was hard work.
