Fished through morning and afternoon. No fish rising, hence nymph only. No fish seen or caught.

Perfect conditions for dry fly fishing and a very agreeable beat to fish from. As you would expect at this time of the season, there were plenty of rises for mating and egg laying flies as well as hatching nymphs.
I landed 2 Brown Trout in quick succession from around Highwell, my first point of call: 1 cock fish, 10 inches (1/2lb) 1 hen fish 14 inches (1lb).
My only disappointment was that I hit the bag limit before having a chance to enjoy other reaches of this beat!
I would definitely revisit Fenni Fach in the future.

WUF note: The 2 fish limit means only 2 fish can be kept not the total number of fish that can be caught, all other fish caught must be released.

Two small brown trout using GRHE returned to river.
Fished upper end of beat 2-6pm. Lovely river - kingfishers, dippers and signs of otters.

Not much to report on the Salmon front but good sport with WBT on falling and clearing water. Thank you.

Had the stretch to myself for the day, which is a privilege in itself. Walked the whole length and back which meant I passed many holding spots for the resident Brown Trout. Caught 4 to half a pound, but sure there are some big fish about. Lovely noonish hatch with various mayfly in attendance, and late afternoon sedges a plenty.
Stunning place. Difficult wading due to 90% Bedrock but will be back for more. Took fish on Dry Yellow Duns, Wolff's and Red/Brown Sedges. Nymphing is the order of the day if sunny but found fish with cover rising. A joy to fish.

Did not fish for very long, had two very nice trout in upstream nymphing.

Most fish between 8-10 inches, caught on heavy prince nymphs. Lovely beat and water in great condition.

9 Trout

Trout: 1 @ 8" & 1 @ 6". River was high and slightly coloured.

2 Trout

River quite high and coloured after heavy rain yesterday. Water very cold, yet good hatch of fly. Only three trout caught, but many more rising.
