Conditions against me today, very low water, bright sunshine and strong wind.Not one rise seen and no fly hatches..Would have liked to stay for the evening, but fearful of driving car back across field for a mile as there was no track.Tried dries with dropper and team of small spiders on long leader

Unfortunately after the recent storms, the river was pumping , high and completely brown with no visibility so really, un-fishable.

Nagging wind made fishing difficult, but managed a couple of trout. Had to leave before the fishing really got going, however I suspect the evening would have been great.

Slightly overcast and cooler conditions. The fish started to rise sporadically at about 5pm. Couldn't work out what they were taking. Tried some pheasant tailed nymphs, and gold headed black nymph plus some drys including mayfly and a big fat daddy but sadly no luck! Beautiful sunset before I left which made the evening.

Fish were not sitting in the expected places. Difficult day - maybe because the water is lower than usual.
Very windy at times. Cloudy with episodes of sun.
Enjoyable day nonetheless.

Very windy day. River low and clear. Good hatches of yellow may duns, blue wing olives, olive uprights, peaking during late afternoon but because of the wind, hardly any rising fish. Lots of chub in the margins, smallish fat trout all released.
