Very tough day of fishing, with a stiff NW wind for much of the day, bright sunshine and a yo-yoing barometer over the last couple of days. Hatches were virtually non-existent. We scratched around for the odd fish, ending with three in the next, the best just going 2lb.

Long cold and wet day but thoroughly enjoyable. No fish rising so used a wet fly. Caught on a Montana nymph (12). Lost two.

No fish. Lovely beat. Wet and unseasonably cold.

3 fish to 13 inches, tungsten nymph. Lost a big one which went like a rocket in the heavy flow. NE wind, cool, no hatch today.

Very difficult day. No fish seen. No fish caught.

Two fairly small browns. One on a spider fished under a dry, the other stalked and caught on a dry. Some surface activity, but not loads

A tough day when it was just too hot to fish to be fair. Fish were just not interested. Additionally too many canoeists and paddle boarders up and down the river and kids swimming..

Very low water and a hot day. However, did quite a bit of sitting and looking and saw some lovely trout (one about 5lb plus) and also a huge shoal of shad in about a foot of water and curiously they were directly under the power lines...??? I last fished here about 20 years ago and I couldn't believe how much the course of the river had changed since then. Anyway, it was a lovely day.
