Frustrating day with little in the way of rises until late evening and then couldn't get them to take any of my offerings! Had one on the nymph late afternoon but feel my technique may not be right for this river, both on the dry and when nymphing.
If anyone is willing to share some tips / give advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Scorching hot day (31 degrees!) for my first visit to Upper Tower Fishery so conditions were difficult. Walked the beat in the morning, plenty of fish rinsing, marked for later.
Returned late afternoon to fish into the evening. Managed to rise a few on dries but only connected with 1 that came off at the net. I think the heat had taken its toll!
New parking space, stiles and pool/run signs are great additions. I’ll certainly be back, perhaps when it’s a little cooler!
