We caught 3 trouts with flashy nymph. The water was dark because of the rain of the day before.

First time on the Wye, can't compare, but the river looked flooded. No movement in the morning , minimal fly life. Mid afternoon picked up with some rising in two calm sections. 5 brown trouts on olives and Adams, all released, biggest 12in. No take on mayfly, although several over the water. Unfortunately, no evening rise at all. Nice water, great day. Congratulation for the whole system!

Height of river was fine and running clear, but the weather could only be described as a squall! One wbt of 4 inches on first cast, the weather continued and I left after a couple of hours after getting the feeling people were pointing at me and laughing !

Overcast, cool, drizzly with steady south east breeze. Started fishing at 1pm at end of 3rd meadow, not much hatching, few fish rising. Caught 2 trout on nymphs fished deep. Fished up to rapids then returned to bottom of beat, caught 1 shad on stickfly - about 1 3/4 lbs. Intermittent rises but no persistent feeders. 1 grayling of 10 inches in fast water to walkers sedge. Total 2 trout, 1 shad, 1 grayling, 1 dead lamprey. Not many fish but very interesting day.

Bight sunny day, fair bit of fly life on the water but very few risers. Fished the afternoon to early evening for 3 fish around the 6-8" mark. Lovely spot.

Good fishing, water like glass, very hot and bright. 2 small brown trout and 1 salmon parr. Did not like the booking fee.

A beautiful day on a beautiful river – challenging fishing though and only managed one wbt and one grayling of any size all day. Both on goldhead PTN.

Nothing moving. No sign of any fish at all. Not a sausage. Fantastic location though and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Will go back.
