River low and clear. All fish caught at the lower end of the beat on a combination of nymphing during the morning and on dry fly from midday onwards. All fish healthy and released.

Lovely first day on this stretch of the Wye. Some good hatches during the the day and several fish showing at the surface. Does the river look a bit low for mid April ?

Just a quick hour at the end of the day. River low and glassy smooth. A few flies on the wing but very little rises. Persevered and was rewarded with my best ever Grayling at the start of a tongue of water in the middle of the beat, which went to a greenish Klinkhammer.

All fish caught in bottom half of the beat. 3 trout and a grayling caught on dry fly, Jingler, during 40 min hatch. The rest caught on nymph. This beat never disappoints. Some build up of algae in the slack margins. Thanks WUF.

Cold morning hard frost , cool morning until mid day. A few granom about but very few really, small hatch of March browns late in the afternoon which the foih responded to. Fish mainly fell to nymphs, GHRE and Pheasant tails
