Water level just below lower planks, flowing nice and clear. Wind sometimes blowing strong and clod straigght down the river , showers all day. various Fly hatching . No joy spinning withg flying C, or trout fishing with an Adams and pheasent tail nymph kink and dink. Enjoyable day though disapointing lack of fish, Not for the want of trying.

Water falling nicely flowing clear. I found it a bit cold after a stumble and found myself on hands and knees in knee deep water. Weather very changeable. No fish seen.

Water falling til the Llanstfan guage just breaking the surface. Water has been clearing all day long. Should be prefect for a fly tomorrow. No fish seen, flying C working well but no action.. Plenty of fly hatching judging be the swallows and martins having a feast.

Staying at The River Cabin by Trericket Mill. Perfect if you are lucky enough to get a reservation.

River didn't look that bad when I arrived mid morning, not much fly life until later on when the occasional fish was rising. Missed several takes but only managed to land one. Unfortunately I had to pack up earlier than intended due to a splitting head ache.

Hello everyone. The weather was changeable. Rain, hail and sun. 11 trout and 1 grayling (all returned to the water) Most of the wet fly with the addition of red color. A few dry flies. Fish took off to each dry fly but there were blind arrows.

Bright and sunny, mostly strong gusty wind, very cold. 1 x trout 1/2 lb (estimated & returned) Grey Duster dry; 1 x trout 1/4 lb (estimated and returned) Double Badger dry. Very entertaining Oyster Catchers and Little Egrets. Enjoyed the day not least the peace and quiet.

After yesterday, came back for more!

A different story with the BBC definition of a "moderate breeze" feeling like an arctic gale and interesting interludes with gents in hoodies and fishing lines and a wild swimmer on the opposite bank at the lower end of the beat.

3 trout taken on dry flies and even with the diversions mentioned above an enjoyable day on a lovely beat

An astonishing day; clear blue skies, fantastic scenery and plenty of hungry fish, periodically rising throughout the day.
All taken on dry flies.

Beautiful beat and a wonderfully enjoyable days fishing.

Pretty much a perfect day

All the fish came from the same stretch of fast water, between 10:30am and 2:30pm with a spurt between 12 and 1 when there was a hatch of mostly march browns and sedges (I think). The fish all took a size 12 March Brown dry or a beaded size 18 PTN fished NZ style underneath it. No really small fish among them and they all went back.

Just my lucky day I suppose
