All on small nymphs. Average size ranging from very small to 6 inches, 3 fish of 12" stood out from the bunch.

20 Trout, 3 Grayling

5 trout caught on floating line using Sedgehog flies. 4 small trout of 8 inches and 1 at 1 1/2lbs taken. Salmon seen and plenty of parr in the river.

5 Trout

Nice warm day, few small trout all lost and 1 14 inch grayling to my daughter. Great day, water a little low but clear.

1 Grayling

Nice weather at last, in the sense of sunny with an air temperature of 14-15 but perhaps a bit of cloud would have encouraged the fly life more. As it was there was a trickle of olives from noon to 2pm but only a few fish rising, none of which I could persuade to take my offering. They were more receptive to nymphs and had my timing been better I might have improved on the five trout I caught. No sign of the otters today but plenty of pied wagtails about.

5 Trout

We returned to the Wye on mass for a few days, Fishing and drinking. Not sure which is more important. All rods caught a mixture of Grayling(16")out of season and several Trout on a mixture of Dries and Nymphs.

6 Trout, 1 Grayling

Very cold conditions, all trout caught on spiders, one oos grayling returned unharmed 16 inches.

5 Trout

The day was blighted by a strong upstream wind that seemed constantly in our faces! Casting and mending were near impossible with tangles aplenty. We each caught a good 1.5 lb grayling, both of which were returned.
There wasn't a hatch of fly, just a dribble throughout the day, with only a few fish rising. None of these were trout, all either grayling or salmon smolts.
I still have not knowingly seen a trout on the Wye this season. It can't be just me. I wonder if it is still a bit cold. The water, although a little warmer now was still chilly.

River was quite high and slightly coloured managed 4 good size trout up to 1lb 8oz for our efforts!

4 Trout

River at 2ft1 and river looked perfect, fished all day, but no joy

2 trout rods no fish caught. 1 salmon rod no fish caught.
A good salmon seen jumping at the top of the beat, a fresh run double by the look of it.
