Water levels very low and fish very spooky. Knee pads required (but forgotten) and lots of people around so didn't fish for long. Every pool holds one of more fish - even if all you see of them is a disappearing tail.

Hardy even made a cast , didn’t look at all fishy.
A nice walk/wade though.

A bit of scrambling around the lowest section of the beat with a tenkara rod. Good numbers of spooky parr. Many of them either missed the fly or I was too slow but a few came to the net. Makes a nice change from my usual fishing.

An absolutely wonderful beat on the moor. The river was quite low on this upper beat, and the only trout were holding in deep plunge pools of at least six feet in depth. Until the river rises, don't bother with other features. Beautiful small brownies with aggressive, slashing takes on sedge dries. Possibly the prettiest place I've ever fished.

Walked the length of the beat but caught from faster water at the lower end late afternoon, about 9”.

Dusted off the tenkara rod to fish this mountain stream. Lots of fish where there was deeper water. Mostly juveniles with parr marks, up to 8 inches and a couple of adults around 12 inches. Some evidence of poaching with thick nylon abandoned on the bank near deep pools.

Overcast skies, 11C-13C, no rain, light winds. Fished entire beat from 13:30 until 17:30. Caught six (6) brown trout all in good condition and measured 10cm - 17cm. Caught one on a dark sedge, one on a black-bodied klinkhammer, and four on parachute adams. Beautiful beat, with a good variety or pools, and riffles. Access easy, but firm footwear recommended. Two merlin seen overhead, and three dipper seen along the beat. A very enjoyable half-day.

River low, no sign of fish.
Found passport easy to use ( booked by phone but will use site in future )
Only complaint is that you don't provide hard copy booklet of beats/areas etc similar to South West passport, makes it much easier to plan, especially when away from home with no computer access.
