Hot day , plenty of swimmers and dogs splashing in the water , the suggested park site close to the post office in impossible to use because is aside the rod and plenty of people are using it for shopping , I'd to park in the center village and walk for one mile , after you payed the permit and drove for hours to enjoy it is looking like you are joked , but I'll give another chance again because the stretch is beautiful and I enjoyed walk on it , please Fishing Passport arrange another park site with the river rights owner you can'nt send people here and leave them struggling around for parking like idiots to enjoy what they have payed for .

WOW what a beat, absolutely amazing with such a variety of water. A lot of insect life pretty much right throughout the day but only saw a handful of rises.
Didn’t manage to get to the top end of the beat as there is private property and didn’t see a public footpath.
Didn’t manage to land anything but a small trout went for an Elk Hair Caddis but he didn’t stay on long enough, I’m sure someone more experienced than me would have landed him.
Access to the river is relatively easy but Wading was tricky as it is pretty rocky but this is explained by the synopsis on the passports webpage but I will add it is VERY slippery. I have felt soles and almost lost my footing more than once so I would urge people to be cautious if they go.
There is also a nice looking cafe at the start of the beat should you fancy a spot of lunch. I didn’t try it myself but will probably do so next time

Warmest day of the year. Mostly sunny. Could not find the trout apart from a few fish rising sporadically. Lots of swimmers and people picnicking beside the river. Access good. Wading challenging.

Just a couple of trout to a ptn today. Changeable conditions but river at a good height. Fished from 10am-13:00 but still a few hatches and the very occasionally splashy rise.
