Grayling took it on the nymph.
Small - about 200g or 20cm.

both fish taken on parachute adams #16 - fishing rising freely for short periods of time

Fished 11:00 to 15:00. Unseasonably warm and bright for April.

Picked up fish on spiders from 12:00 onwards. March browns came off in good numbers from about 12:30 and the riffles fished well for half an hour.
All quiet when the hatch ended, with a few fish prospected from the fast water on duo.

12 Trout, 4 Grayling

Brief session. A hatch pulsed around midday and brought a few fish up, but it was short-lived.
Fish on a mixture of dries and duo.

Unseasonably warm with a niggly upstream breeze. Strange conditions for April!

Had a chance of two grayling but failed to land them.

Lovely sunny day albeit pretty windy. River up about a foot overnight and pushing through strongly. Too tricky for this amateur.

Very hot and sunny. May have put the fish off. Due to illness only one of could actually get to the river.
