Two on both lost, plenty of fly and fish activity. First time out, sure a better angler could have caught plenty

River level was average, the water was slightly coloured, one 13” trout from the wall pool in Ynystawe on a mepps 1 silver spinner, catch and release.

1 fish taken, swallowed the hook too deep to return, other 3 returned.
Lovely river, I will join the PASAS next year, and ask Santa to bring me some river fly fishing gear, as my reservoir tackle is not suitable.
Have just moved down to Swansea from the Midlands!

Conditions looked good - river running quite high (yet clear) after a few days of rain - but no fish caught or tempted. Only one rising fish seen. Two hours fishing.
