Excellently manicured banks for comfortable coarse fishing. Unfortunately only one 2lb chub was caught. The weather was very misty and temperature dropped to 4 degrees centigrade mid morning. Access to the beat extremely difficult even in dry conditions driving along the edge of the field. An off road 4x4 vehicle would be best .
The bait used was halibut pellets.

This is an attractive beat with good access when dry and always looks as if it should produce a lot of barbel. We did have a flurry of activity towards the end of the day but the fish were very localised and seemingly absent from a large stretch of the water.
5 medium sized barbel and 3 chub took a liking to our pellets after a long wait.

Had not previously fished or looked at this stretch before so probably didn't have the right approach although I tried several. A very pretty well maintained stretch but the concrete banks which run for almost the whole of the stretch are not really my scene.. Fished the bottom end by the Luggs mouth (which is about the only bit without the 'construction work') but despite conditions being very similar to the previous days successful visit to The Creel had no action at all.. Fished hard but it didn't feel right at any time... A little less concrete and some nearside overhanging trees/bushes/ cover would prove to be a great improvement to an otherwise attractive fishery....!

First time on this beat, lovely stretch. Fished the bottom end and didn't get a twitch until late evening when a small chub and 4lb barbel obliged. Conditions were not too bad, bit of push in the water and a bit of colour. An enjoyable day except for the fish who were taking the day off ...! I need to get to know this stretch a bit better so will be back.

River a bit out of sorts, already high and rising again through the day. Lots of weed in the main flow so finding slack water was essential. Difficult day with fish not readily feeding. Two good barbel caught 8lb and 8 1/2 lb to spicy sausage boilies.

River very high and pouring through at a rate of knots. River good colour, but difficult fishing, river rose a foot during day, almost immpossible to fish the bottom, unless in an eddie. Streamer weed by the ton and logs the size of canoes coming down river, but an enjoyable days fishing. It is a double bank beat, but can you actually fish from the opposite bank? Barbel to 7 lbs on pellets, would like to fish this beat in better conditions.
WUF Note: Although the beat is double bank fishing, access is from the right only.
