Fished morning with stick float using caster and hemp and had plenty of action from the chub. Avg 3lb We spent the afternoon with the feeder gear and managed a couple of barbel and a few more chub. Biggest barbel 6lb 8oz

2 Barbel, 14 Chub

Pretty much a repeat of the previous day with plenty of Chub to float tactics.
A switch to a feeder rather than a straight lead, in order to be more aggressive with the feed, probably made a difference as I had 2 Barbel and a few more Chub than the previous day.

2 Barbel, 50 Chub

A great days fishing. Most of the Chub were caught by my friend, trotting hemp and caster along the far bank tree line.
I stuck it out on the straight lead for a Barbel, which came along just before dusk. I backed this up with 9 Chub generally between 3-4lb.

1 Barbel, 59 Chub

River rising clear during day with a lot of vegetation, weed and branches coming down. Nice to see quality barbel.

4 Barbel, 10 Chub

Very poor day, 6 chub total for the day despite 3 anglers fishing for barbel. River needs rain.

6 Chub

Hard days fishing with few bites. Pike caught on lure. Dace on trotted maggot and Chub on ledgered pellet.

After a slow start managed 6 chub on rolling meat plus a number of chublets and dace trotting

A rare hard day on the beat, with the first cold autumnal day taking its toll on the fishing, 10c colder than the day before with a northerly blast to boot. PS winkled out 12 chub on the float and BJ had the rest on the bomb, but not a solitary fish rose all day. All chub were the usual 3-4lb size apart from one whale that was closer to 6 than it was 5.
