We had a very casual day's fishing starting around 9:30am, stopping for lunch and packing up around 6:30pm and still managed approx. 110 chub! In truth the number of chub is a best estimate because we lost count. All on freeline bread crust/flake. Lovely stretch, would love to fish it in the autumn/winter.

20.9 water temp on arrival and a degree higher at lunchtime. Fished the last two swims down on the island but the big chub shoal wasn't there. One fished a hemp and pellet black cap, the other the float with hemp and meat and we each had 12 chub. Had a good look at the swims above us too but nothing showing itself. With the air temp at 27 at lunchtime we packed up.
