Water still too high but clarity was good. Resorted to spinning the upper parts of the beat for the day. No fish seen but had a close encounter with an otter late in the day.

33 inch (17lb )beauty on 1" WillieGunn intermediate line & sink tip. 38 inch (23lb) on a blue rapala (thanks to Dave, Caradoc keeper, for netting it). 2nd fish heavily seal marked. Water much clearer than on Friday and now down to 0.8m on Ross gauge - Jim Morison

Level still a higher than I would have liked. Colour dropping away. Another day and would have been perfect. Tried fly, flying c and Evans but no joy. Nothing seen.

Quite apart from the incredible weather, the fishing was excellent. Started of on the beach where I lost two fish before landing one. Decided to move to the top of the stretch for a bit more shelter from the winds. Had eleven fish from one swim including two over 8lb and one at 9lb 4oz.
