Day 2 of 2. A much brighter, sunny day. Three anglers fished the top end of the fishery for the morning but only 4 Chub on the float and 2 eels on ledger were caught, so when went back to the faster water at the bottom end of the fishery where the fish were not feeding in the main flow as before but were under the far bank bushes which is full of snags on the bottom, so we had the wade out and use heavy float tactics to get to them. Still a good day but hard work to hold the float at the far bank. We had 50 Chub 0.5lb - 4lb and 3 Barbel 5lb - 7lb on mainly float fished meat.

Day 1 of 2. Far end of the fishery in the shallow water. Overcast with a bit of drizzle and hardly any wind which was perfect for fishing. There was also quite a bit of rain the previous day adding some extra flow which helped spark the Barbel into feeding. We had around 30 Chub between three anglers, 0.5lb - 2.5lb on mainly meat and corn and some on pellet and 8 Barbel 5lb - 9.5lb on mainly pellet.

Another ‘Ground Hog Day’! Barbel 4 to 6.5lbs. Chub 2 to 4lbs. Other eel. The barbel don’t seem to want to feed in earnest, I expect that will all change in the Summer! Many thanks to WUF and the various Landowners of the beats i have fished this season swims well strimmed and access mostly good

A frustrating day for us both trying to emulate a session 2 years ago that was never going to be! I fished the same swim as I did previously on the pebble beach near the end of the beat with similar river levels & quite low. Quite a few fish showed throughout the day so they were there but couldn't manage to catch in too many numbers. Had 2 Barbel on an Avon style float using 12mm RR pellets / 10mm frankfurter boilie which were great sport at around 6lb. 3 small Chub were also caught on the same tactics but my frustrations were losing 3 barbel on the day, 1 on ledger tactics & 2 on the float. Could have been a much better day but that's fishing....Mate had a barbel later on ledger tactics using meat

3 Barbel, 3 Chub
