2 brown trout (1 approx 1.5 lb and 1 approx 0.5 lb), both caught on dry GRHE size 16. Lost several other fish which took a Light Cahill dry size 12, which were rising to a pronounced hatch of what appeared to be Yellow May duns. Very enjoyable sport, despite the drizzle for much of the day.

First time for me at this beat. Good flow to the river but conditions very difficult (cold and windy) still managed 5 fish to dries (klinkhammers), one to pt nymph. Rising fish in pockets with a late afternoon hatch. Approx fish size 1 x 14-15 oz, 3 x 8-10oz 2x 4-6oz. Good fun so will be back again hopefully in more favourable conditions. Some good fish rising in some unreachable parts of the beat.

Nil return.
Beat fished by my companions, they were unhappy with access and general state of the river, lots of fallen trees.

SM & PH tempted 9 WBT using PTN fished deep. When fish started rising, spiders and CDC emergers proved successful. River coloured from heavy rain a few days prior and running fast. Access is difficult along much of this beat and quite hazardous in some areas.

Just trout. Fishing made very difficult as the owners of beat had heavy machinery working on the edge of the river throughout the day; fish not that keen on JCBs. Upside is that access to the river will be improved along the short section worked on.

River was fairly high and the pools were pretty deep. A little colour to the water. Not much fly life evident.
One brown trout caught in the morning on a Parachute emerger. Three missed fish on Black Gnat and Holy Grail nymph. One chub hooked by mistake in the afternoon on the nymph. Three canoes passed through the beat in the afternoon which diturbed things somewhat!
WUF note - There is no canoe agreement in place on this section of river so please report any sighting to us.
