River was low but still carrying some colour. Moved swims a lot and finally found some fish feeding in mid afternoon. Lovely stretch that I have fished before. Will be back soon

Gorgeous beat rotated between swims.
Canoeists were a pain, on the whole very friendly but the longer the day went on the more drunk the groups were. We had people jumping in to the water on sight of us and making so much noise as to disturb the swims. One group even complained that they didn't know there would be anglers on the banks, even though we had no lines in the water..... Behaviour on the river is getting worse each year that I come back!

Mmmmm, tough day on one of my favourite venues as the water was rather low. However, I did have a 9lb Barbel on the first cast of the day, but that turned out to be 'first cast curse' as that was the last bit of action I saw. My mate had a Chub later on in the day, but that was it. However, we will be back!

Slow stretch of river but had an enjoyable day on the stick float with plenty of smaller fish and a few chub to about the three pound mark.
