River Level had dropped approximately a metre since the weekend and remained at the same level during the day, an overcast day with some rain showers. 14 Barbel were caught, meat and pellets were the most successful baits. Bank very slippery and difficult to land fish, don't leave home without a rope and a dog spike

Red letter day for me, with the river levels falling the fish were really on it, fished a couple of hours in all fishable swims and they all produced, chub of 5.5lb and best barbel just under 9lb

River in good condition following recent heavy rain. Appalling provision of swims considering the price of a day ticket and the length of the beat. Even with ropes some swims were simply too dangerous to attempt to use.
