A delightful stretch of water which I selected in the hope my dad would catch his first barbel but the fishing was slow with only a couple of chub falling for meat that had to be bounced in the flow (they weren't interested in the static bait). 2 barbel came out at the top of the beat early evening around the 8lb mark. A great venue that I know produces quality catches on its day.

Very nice stretch of the Wye. River levels were up slightly following a few weeks of very low levels (from what I read on previous reports) with some colour to it.
Conditions were overcast at first with a bit of rain, however this then turned to bright sunshine for the rest of the day.
Caught 4 Barbel to 8.5lbs and 8 Chub to 4lbs between us. All fish were caught using open ended feeder with pellet/groundbait and CBS River Monster hook baits.
I was concerned about the Water pipe/hump on the track that people have reported on. This needs attention as a lower vehicle could bottom out/ cause damage to undercarriage. My A4 Avant was OK over it but only just.

Great day, 11 barbel to 8.10lb and 6 chub all over 4lb, best 4.08lb and one eel. Pellet feeder doing the best. River coloured and pushing a little making the floating weed a pain but fishable. Many thanks WUF.

Heaviest rain I've seen in years, river chocolate brown, didn't even see a single fish. Not many accessible swims to get down to the river.
