A very slow morning on a very low river. Walked the whole stretch twice and finally found some fish at the bottom of the beat. All caught on meat including an eel. Biggest chub was 6Ib 8oz and barbel was around 5Ib

Only 1 angler

Lovely stretch and some great pegs cut down stream.

Fished from 14:00 to 22:00 river was low in bright conditions. Caught all fish on pellet at the top end. Otter appeared in my mates swim next to me around teatime and things went dead which was a shame at the best catching time

Having had a little rain overnight and visiting my favourite MHC I was hopeful of us doing better than we did on the Creel the day before. However this was quickly dampened by Steffen on arrival who thought our chances of catching more than chub were limited. Still we anglers are optimistic eejits and we started in the fast water with hope. Under the circumstances it was a perfect day: PJ who had to go early had 2 barbel of 5 and a babber at 2 before he left; IC (Wye virgin) moved into his swim and had 2 5s; I had my first float caught barbel in the slower deeper water alongside a couple of chub, and a barbel back in the faster water both at close to 7lb. We then got totally drowned when the heavens opened and someone looking like Noah came past in a canoe who, like the others who passed us today was very considerate and polite. No records broken but my target of barbel for all was met.
Thank you again WUF.

Very tough day, tried all swims, all methods, could only muster one Chub between us. Nice stretch though and well maintained with good access.

Water low and a bit green and fishing quite slow.Needs a bit of rain.
On the plus side pegs all cut out with ropes to help you to get up and down which was a great help. Thanks WAU

2 anglers only fishing. River low and banks high made it hard work but a couple of nice barbel, the best just shy of 9lb, put a smile on faces
