Not much happening. Very few fish rising and they were mostly toddlers.. I did see one big trout in an inaccessible spot. The “trout” in the bridge pool turned out to be a chub! When the water is low like it is now, I’d advise minimal wading. I was using a small deer hair caddis but a nymph might have worked better.

I booked for the day but wasn’t free to fish til 17:00 as a carer for my son had cancelled. I felt a bit rushed so jumped into the first pool (at the bridge). There was a good variety of insect life and a few subtle rises. I rose two fish in the pool but missed them both so I turned round and fished downstream with a nymph that got a tug on the first cast. I then went downstream as far as the picnic bench and fished small deer hair caddis flies. Caught three and was very happy with that. Lots of birdlife seen including dippers and kingfishers. I’ll be back!

Warm, overcast, and a light breeze. Started fishing around 7:00am and finished at noon. No hatches observed and only a few occasional rises. Halfway through fishing I spotted a light coloured mayfly(?) on the surface and switched to a good imitation. With that I managed to rise three trout and hook one of them only to have it come off.
Some of the banks are suffering significant erosion.
All in all, a fine day on the river.

Fished for a few hours either side of midday had 3 - 6", 10" and 15" and lost 4 including what felt like a good fish. Quite a few fish rising along the flats but they were very spooky and a downstream wind made casting difficult. Nice stretch of water would fish it again.

River pretty low and wind not helpful ! Not many fish rising and little by way of hatches. One nice trout (7”) on a beaded nymph and lost a larger one on a black gnat. Lovely river and stunning scenery.

Sunny day with coloured water after overnight rain. Fish largely down despite a reasonable hatch and didn't have time to fish the evening which was shaping up to be good! One small trout. Nice beat with easy access and straightforward wading and some interesting pools.

The water was a little coloured and not much rising but still a very enjoyable day on the water.

Water quite coloured and slightly up from Monday. Had a few takes to a large kind of Grey Wulff style pattern , no luck to nymphs and hardly any fish seen rising. Lovely to see dippers flying around though

The lower stretch of the beat seemed to have a lot of sediment , and I didn't see sight nor sound of any fish. Moved up the three bridge by the bell and the was the odd fish rising , the one I caught fell to a size 16 emerger pattern
